I am soooo tired. I don’t do getting up early well at all. It seems like the longer I go the worse I get. Aren’t I supposed to be getting used to getting up and going to be early? Why isn’t it working?
I survived the big black out of ’07. Barely. Thanks to my girl, Awaiting, for the prayers. Somehow it didn’t get hot until they were almost done working. Of course, when it got hot it felt like Satan turned up his furnace, but that’s ok. The air went on about the minute they left. I tried to study my math book, but Millie failed to pick of Lil’lady so I kept getting interrupted. I guess that could be a good thing because I’m pretty sure I’ll have fractions chasing me in my nightmares tonight.
OMG! The drunks across the street were hanging on their porch at 10 am, chugging the brewskies. Who the hell gets up, goes out on the porch and drinks with friends that early? I mean, who over 30 does that? That’s just pitiful. I thought about taking a picture, but didn’t have the energy to come back inside and grab the camera. What can I say? The coffee hadn’t kicked in yet. I can barely get my ass moving without a caffeine push. For real.
Oh, the guy from the health department came out. Seems there’s some lead in our doorways. This would be a lot worse if we weren’t already scheduled to get new doorways. I’ll have to take some pics of the guys working, in case anyone thinks I’m full of shit regarding this renovation project. Anyway, I can’t say I’m too disappointed to see those doors go. The front door would be nice if it kept out the cold air and had a dead bolt on it. But it doesn’t so I’m doing a jig (in my mind because I’m too TIRED to do it for real) that we’re getting some new doors. Oh, and before you say anything, Lil’lady has been tested for lead and so far is fine. The guy said that the bad paint is under the good paint, which isn’t chipping and so shouldn’t pose a problem- yet.

Did I mention I’m tired?
