Can you believe that I am actually doing a two part to my almost-but-not-quite series on my very own garden? I can’t either! It’s amazing. Fantabulous even.
So, my garden is getting out of hand. I have FOUR cucumber plants and FOUR watermelons that think they own the whole patch. I had to go out there and cute some of those vines back. Next year I won’t be doing so many. Believe that.
My poor flower beds are getting weeded out because I’m so busy trying to keep that garden tame I don’t have time for them. Poor posies. And when Millie tells TheMan we have a nice garden, what does he say? “We work really hard on it.” We? What “we”? I don’t see him out there whacking those vines as they’re steadily creeping up his leg. I don’t see him beating back those monstrous tomato plants, trying in vain to tie them up- again. I can’t even let Baby in there because she might get lost! For real.
Check out the pics under the fold.
Here is my crazy patch of whatever. It’s doing well and I love it. But I’m afraid to go in for fear I may never come out.
It’s a white lily. Ain’t it purty? I’ve got a ton of lilies of all different varieties.
And some are purple. But, unlike iris, they’re a pretty purple.
And here is what I did with some of those damned cucumbers. Meet Jinxi’s very own spicy pickles. Yum. If you look close enough you can actually see the garlic and cayenne pepper seeds.
That is all for today’s edition of “Sunday Garden Blogging”. Tune in next week as I bring you more pictures of crap and tell you stories to cure your insomnia.
