This post is way over due. I’ve been working on it for almost a week now and still haven’t gotten very far with it. You see, I’ve been sick plus Baby had to have minor outpatient surgery on Wednesday (meaning that she was put under, but we brought her home the same day) then she got a minor infection which prevented her from sleeping for two straight days. Doc puts her on Tylenol with Codeine (as well as antibiotics for the infection) and don’t you fucking know that shit did not put her to sleep? I swear, she was like a drunk monkey on that shit. It’s been a long time since this old bag pulled some all nighters and I did not fare well. Plus I’m still sick. Plus TheMan had to have a shot and he’s been crying ever since. Oh! And I had a couple of papers to write for school. Am I properly forgiven for my lapse? Please? Ok, now onto the post I meant to have up days and days ago. Everything from here is old shit that just never made it up.
I’ve never tried to purposely drive traffic to my site. I’ve been quite happy with low hit counts and smart, witty and fun commenters. I’m always amazed when someone sticks around to read more of the craziness I write. Schadenfreude, of The Fifth Column, has been a favorite blog read of mine since before I killed my last blog and gave myself a new name. Imagine my surprise when he bestowed upon me “The Thinking Blog Award”! I could not be more honored. If you’ve never visited “The Fifth Column” you’ll not understand how getting that particular award from that particular blogger could move me. Schad and the crew over there are articulate, funny, and highly intelligent. I bet they even take the time to organize and proofread their blog posts (I don’t do that…heh). At any rate, I want to thank Schad for the honor of the award and his friendship. And now onto business.
