Visiting a church

I went to a Catholic Church and liked it, if you can believe that one. I liked the way the church looked inside, the way it smelled, and, especially, the ritual involved. I liked the way it so resembled my own Pagan rituals.

What really interested me- got my ears perked, if you will- was when the priest said “God, accept this offering:” Hmmm, “offering” or “sacrifice”? I also enjoyed how they prayed to three separate entities- The Father (1), the Son (2), and the Holy Ghost (3). My oh my, how some things just fall into place for me.

I wonder how they can call themselves modern monotheists? This is not three aspects of the one God because how can Jesus be God when He sits beside God? And then God and Jesus send out an aura (huh?) that is called the Holy Ghost. Boy, I have more in common with the Catholics than they would like me to have. And what’s the deal with Mary and Saint worship?

Whether they like it or not they fall into the polytheistic catagory in my book. And I still liked going to that church.
